No. Placement entirely on private property — your driveway, yard, or a gravel pad — is unregulated everywhere in our service area. No permit is required for private property placement.

Any time the container needs to sit in a public street or right-of-way rather than on private property, it falls under the City of Nashua's own Board of Public Works, under City Code Ch. 285 (Streets & Sidewalks), obstruction-license section. That process applies specifically inside Nashua city limits.

We can't quote a specific dollar figure here. The only fee published anywhere in the City of Nashua's own code is $300, but that fee is scoped specifically to moving structures through city streets, not to dumpster placement, so we never attach that number to a dumpster permit.
